Makeup For You (Minty Orange Makeup for Graduation)

One fine day on August 14th 2014, I was doing another graduation makeup session for my bestie. Always been an honor doing some makeup for my best friend. She trusted me as her makeup artist even though I was not and I still am not a professional makeup artist. Since she trusted me, I had to show my best work even if I did not know if it was indeed my best work or not. I let her judge my work based on her honest opinion later that day.

The theme was minty orange as she was wearing an orange long dress with a touch of mint lace. She asked me not to over-do her makeup and requested it to be flawless yet it brought out her best feature.

The products I used were pretty much the same as the previous products used for my sister’s graduation.

1. For her eyebrows I used NYX powder brown liner in Bel 08.
2. I used NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk as the eye base.
3. For her outer V corner, I applied MakeOver eyeliner pencil in brown latte and I blended out the color by also adding some brown colors from ELF Eye Manual 32 eye shadow palette.
4. I applied soft orange color all over her middle lid and then blended them.
5. I put mint color in her inner corner to pop her eye out more. I used the same palette, ELF Eye Manual 32 eye shadows palette.
6. For her eyeliner, I chose Viva Cosmetics liquid eyeliner.
7. I applied some mascara to her lashes using my Maybelline Great Lash mascara in blackest black.
8. Last but not least, I put false lashes.
9. For her over all face, I used Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation in beige. As the powder I chose Wardah luminous powder in beige. For contouring, I used my MakeOver face contour kit. Final touch to her face was patting peach color to her cheeks using my wardah blush on A.
10. As for her lips, I used wardah exclusive lipstick in golden coral number 30.

Those were the products used for my best friend’s graduation. Thankfully, she was happy with the result. I also did her hijab and she also satisfied with the result. Nothing’s more precious than a smile on her face and saw how satisfy she was with my work. It was a priceless moment when your best friend trusted you to make her even prettier.

Soft Makeup for Graduation

It's been so long without chirping in my blog. I decided to post my makeup since I've been super interested in makeup lately. Some of my friends and families had trusted me as their makeup artist. However, I wouldn't dare to call myself a Makeup Artist since my makeup isn't as fabulous as the real makeup artist. I just love makeup and I love to make others more beautiful than they already is.

This is not my very first but this is actually the first one that I had the chance to actually capture my work. Beberapa kali diminta buat dandanin orang, tapi ya itu, selalu lupa buat foto hasil kerja aku sendiri. Baru adek sepupu suami aja yang sempet aku foto. Hehe... 

Adek sepupu ipar ku ini spesial request aku buat makeupin dia di hari spesial dia sebagai seorang sarjana. Yep, it was her graduation day and so she asked me to do her makeup and hijab. Dia minta makeup yang soft, flawless dan gak menor kayak mau dangdutan. Style Hijab nya, dia ga minta yang macem-macem dan super ribet sih. And so I chose, Queen Elsa Hijab yang dipopulerkan oleh Kak EllendMuzakky. Kakak satu ini emang hobi banget bikin style hijab disney gitu, so she indeed inspires me A LOT.

For her eye makeup, I chose pink and aqua blue. Karena kebaya dia bernuansa Soft Pink and Blue. :))

1. I usually begin with the eyebrows. Aku pake NYX Powder Brown Liner Bel 08. Harganya, affordable lah ya, terus ini awet banget. Aku beli setahun yang lalu, dan sampe detik ini, masih aku pake dan ga abis-abis. :)) Okay, buat apply powder ini, biasanya aku kasih wax dulu alisnya, supaya powdernya bener-bener nempel and warnanya pop out bgt. Aku biasanya pake viva eye primer atau wax yang ada di double function kit nya wardah. Abis itu, aku kasi concealer buat nutupin rambut alis yang halus. You don't really need to trim the hair. Dan concealer ini membantu buat mempertegas bentukan alis kita. :)

2. Before applying any eyeshadow, aku selalu pake eyebase. Sejauh ini, aku selalu pake NYX Eye Jumbo Pencil in Milk. Pensil ini multifungsi banget menurut aku, nggak cuma jadi eyeliner, tapi bisa juga dijadiin base eyeshadow yang pastinya bener-bener bikin eye makeup nya tahan lebih lama dan warnanya keluar banget. The most important thing is that Pensil ini super affordable, ramah di kantong. :D

3. Then I apply the eyeshadow. Aku pake ELF 32 eyeshadow sama MAKEOVER Trivia eyeshadow. Makeover trivia eye shadownya, aku pake yang indian summer. Aku apply yang warna soft pink di sudut mata dalem. Buat sudut mata luar dan ngebentuk V-Shape, aku pake Elf 32 eyeshadow yang warna light blue.

4. Then I apply eyeliner, mascara and faux-lashes. Eyelinernya aku pake Viva Liquid eyeliner. Applicatornya berbentuk spidol gitu, jadi gampang buat di apply ke eyelid. Mascara nya aku pake Maybellin Great Lash in Blackest Black. Mascara ini ngebikin bulu mata jadi lentik, penuh dan panjang. Suka banget sama mascara ini, sayangnya ini ga ada di drugstore kita, aku biasanya order online di webstore atau onlineshop instagram. Buat faux-lashes nya, aku pake lashes yang natural, bukan brand terkenal tapi lumayan lentur dan gampang ditempelin.

5. Abis itu, aku apply foundation, terus contouring baru apply powder. Foundationnya, Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation in medium beige. Contouring pake Makeover face contour kit. Powdernya, Wardah Luminous Powder in Beige. Abis itu, aku apply blush. Aku pake Giordani Gold Pearl Bronzer mix with Wardah Blush on A.

6. Last, I apply zaitun before applying lipstick so it wont dry so much. Lipstick nya aku pake Wardah Exclusive Lipstick number 30, it's pinky peach. :))
